3T SYSTEMS & CSIA TECHNOLOGY TASK FORCE COMPLETE PHASE 1 OF DENVER BOTANIC GARDEN'S REDEVELOPMENT PLAN EARLY
Denver, CO, April 22, 2008 — 3t Systems, Inc., one of Colorado's largest privately held Business and IT consulting companies, today announced phase I of the Denver Botanic Garden's technology redevelopment is complete. In June of 2007, Denver Botanic Gardens CEO Brian Vogt approached CSIA, the Colorado Software and Internet Association and the states largest IT trade organization, to assemble a team of IT professionals to contract with the Gardens for a full infrastructure redevelopment and to re-vamp their web presence. The team assembled includes 3t Systems and numerous other CSIA member organizations and individual volunteers.
Phase I, which was scheduled to be completed by May 5th, included a complete overhaul of the current infrastructure system and integration of a state-of-the-art Cisco solution and core network. The new secure garden-wide Wi-Fi system now allows employees freedom to move through the gardens and work from anywhere on the 23 acre hotspot As part of the redevelopment, the Gardens also has launched a brand new site promoting their position as a leading cultural center in the United States.
Eddie Speir, CEO of 3t Systems shares, “3t Systems is thrilled to be working with such a committed group of individuals. The Denver Botanic Gardens leadership in technology is second to none and an outstanding model for non-profit organizations and gardens across the United States. We are looking forward to a continued relationship with the Gardens.”
Brian Vogt, CEO of Denver Botanic Gardens says, “The Gardens is incredibly fortunate to have formed a partnership with 3t Systems. They are cutting-edge, highly respected in the technology consulting sector and an invaluable source of guidance for the Gardens as we find new, innovative ways to connect people with plants across the world.”
Phase II of the project will include public Wi-Fi Access in the amphitheater, area surrounding the amphitheater and the Café, beaming videography and RFID (radio frequency identification) tags on all plants. Completion is currently scheduled for the fall of 2008.
